Helping the Homeless

The first week of homeschool we made some snack bags for the homeless. First we had to get a bag and then we put cheez-its, granola bars, raisins and fig newton cookies in the bag. My mom printed some cards. My friend Bria and I had to draw all the cards and put them in all the bags. The cards said nice things. We talked about the hardest part of being homeless and I thought not having a home and food would be hard. We dropped the bags off at Faith Mission. I wanted my own bags too so then we made our own bags for people on the streets. So we put 5 bags in the car and we gave 4 away. Today I gave someone the last bag outside Target. When me and my mom were at Target we got flu shots. You should get one and get a $5 gift card.

What I learned from the activity that it makes me happy when I give someone a bag. If you are around someone that is homeless don't bully them because it will make them sad. My mom says we did this activity with Seeds of Caring.
